Jane inherited the Ashbrook Estate. It then passed into the Hamilton family, who added the name "Ash" to their own.

Colonel William Randal Hamilton Beresford-Ash, of Ashbrook, co. Londonderry, D.L., late Royal Welsh Fusiliers, born 19 July 1859; married 23 October 1886, Lady Florence Marion Brown, daughter of 5th Marquis of Sligo (see Burke's Peerage), and has issue,
Douglas, born 8 September 1887, Lieutenant, Royal Fusiliers.
Colonel Beresford-Ash is the eldest son of John Barré Beresford, of Learmount, co. Londonderry (who died 30 August 1895), by Caroline, his 2nd wife (who died 13 January 1901), only child of William Hamilton Ash, D.L., of Ashbrook, co. Londonderry (by Lady Elizabeth Emma Douglas, his wife, who died 2 February 1857, sister of 17th Earl of Morton) and granddaughter of William Hamilton Ash, of Ashbrook (who assumed the name of Ash, and died 29 May 1821), son of William Hamilton and Jane, his wife, daughter of George Ash and sister and heir of George Ash, of Ashbrook.
