Alderman George ASHE

- Died: 18 Oct 1796 aged 84
George Ashe educated his nephew, George Hewey, and was going to designate him as his heir. However, they had a dispute about a horse, and so George Ashe left the Ashbrook property to William Hamilton, another nephew, who took the name of Ashe.

George Ash and Mary Rankin left a numerous family, of whom Alderman George Ash, born in 1712, was the last male representative, leaving his estate to his nephew, George Hamilton, who took the name of Ash.
